T-Dot stand up!

K-Os - 4,3,2,1

K-os - Yes (?)
K'naan - Troubadour (Feb 24th)
Drake - So Far Gone (already released mixtape which is more like an album)

Is it me, or does Toronto have three of the most original and anticipated artists out there in hip hop land? And none of them can be boxed in as straight "hip hop". Drake had over 76,000 downloads of his mixtape in the first 6 hours of release. Crazy.

EMC - Leak It Out

The good doctor posted this album a while back - stumbled across this vid today. "Don't Give Up On Us" is another great track off this album; to be played if you navigating through rough waters with your ladyfriend. In any event, EMC is nice. This is real hip hop.

Everything needs a miniature version of itself.

This video is sick. Love the concept.

T-Dot Stand Up!

Kardi breaks down our beloved hometown.

As a bonus, his performance on Leno, which is groundbreaking bizness for a Canadian hip hop artist. Needless to say, the Black Jays murdered it. Akon looks completely out of place 'cause he can't get down the way the T-Dot boys do.

Sidenote: Call it commercial if ya like, but I'm feeling the album - minus the garbage song with T-Pain. Ill Eagle Alien and Going In are slap the wall chunes!

Q-Teezee

Saw this over at 2dopeboyz but decided that it deserves another posting here. I can't wait this ish to drop!

Tip & Dilla!!! It's like it's 1999 up in this.

Wikipedia lists guests appearances from: Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco, J Dilla, Norah Jones, Madlib, Common, D'Angelo, Raphael Saadiq & Santogold.

With production confirmed from: Raphael Saadiq, J Dilla, will.i.am, Mark Ronson & Tip himself.

Yeah. You just read what you just read.

Black Milk and Jake One in October. Q-Tip in November. The Blueprint 3 in December. It's looking gooood.

Common has been at the top of the rap game, arguably, throughout his entire career. He just doesn't stop putting out dope music and accompanying videos. And he's not the worst actor out there either.

Knock Kanye for whatever reason you choose but his beat-making talent is undeniable. I, for one, can't wait for The Blueprint 3!

NERD f/ Kanye, Lupe, Pusha T - Everyone Nose Remix

I'm lovin' this video.

AllHipHop.com: Now I know Lupe was on stage talking about filming the Child Rebel Soldier video and there’s a video about the video that’s leaked. This project was really kept under wraps and now the secret’s out, but why was it kept such a secret for so long?

Pharrell: Well I don’t know what you’re talking about. [laughs]

AllHipHop.com: Not fair, even Lupe said it.

Pharrell: What did he say?

AllHipHop.com: He said we’re filming the Child Rebel Soldier video.

Pharrell: Ohh you mean CRS. Ohhh CRS – ohh Ciara, Rihanna and Shakira.

AllHipHop.com: Yeah, [laughs] that’s the project I was talking about.

Pharrell: That’s gonna be cool. CRS stands for “can’t really sing.”
That was corny but it worked.

CRS - US Placers

On the amateur video tip - this one is also well done.

CRS = Child Rebel Soldiers = Lupe Fiasco + Kanye West + Pharrell Williams
