Street Fighter II has been re-released in full HD glory! Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix (available only on Xbox Live Arcade and Playstation Network) is a pixel-for-pixel recreation of the game. From the character select all the way through to backgrounds and endings, the entirety of the game has been redrawn!Are you drooling yet? Cause that wasn't even the point of this post. Or was it... To commemorate the new game, several artists have put out tracks. Here's one of them.

This kinda album even makes the most retired of loop diggin' producers want to return to the game, lay down some freshness and profess eternal gratitude to all those that virtually made love to an instrument or instruments and laid it all out for the world on wax.
Here's an interesting selection. The Black Ghosts. A group that is somewhat akin to the Gorillaz, but with more of a UK neo-soul flare. Essentially, you have one psycho DJ and a limey crooner belting out some pretty cool chunes.
As part of the Athletic Mic League and The Lab Techs, he's produced pivotal tracks for nearly every notable Detroit Hip-Hop artist. He has been instrumental in boosting the careers of fellow crew members Buff1 and DJ Haircut (Stones Throw Records' newest acquisition and 1/3 of Now On).Peep this instrumental album that will have you boppin your head until the very end... until you hit that repeat button and start it again!

Taking it back to a 1991 release - however this track still bangs today. For some reason, the track reminds me of junior high school missions involving pizza pizza runs and dumping endless quarters into streetfighter 2 arcade machines. Related side note: "Craziest" (by the same group who leveraged this sample) is an often underrated "entrance music heater" track.
This one is interesting...very eclectic. A Belgian band, similar in style to Radiohead...

As a youngin' I had my big wheels tricycle and a road hockey stick and I was in heaven. The children of today are afforded a luxury that I was not. Witness the enigma that is Kota the Triceratop. A 3 foot tall plush rideable dinosaur robot for children under 60 pounds.
